Prototyp session structure

Part 1: Find your audience
Work out who your idea is for and what problem you are trying to solve for them.

Week 1: Using ‘As Is’ design mapping exercises, we’ll work out who your core audience is

Week 2: Work out where your audience experiences challenges and problems in their experience
*Not needed if already completed during another course

Part 2: Map your audience journey

Week 3: Create a map of how your audience will navigate through your solution experience

Week 2: Plot the insight you gathered in part 1 to your map and reflect exactly what your audience needs.
Create a future state map of your audience’s journey and plot your insight, working out the structure of your new solution

Part 2: Build your prototype
Use templates and pre-set industry conventions to build out a professional solution for your audience. Whether it’s an app, AI solution or website, this is where we bring it to life.
This course will be made up of the following example modules, dependent on your idea. We will not cover all modules in this course, you will only learn the ones relevant to your idea.
This part of the course will be made up of the following steps, and the length of the course will depend on the modules you require.

Step 1: Choose from a range of pre-built templates and start shaping each part of your design prototype

Step 2: Review your design prototype and use expert methods to sense check and ensure it meets usability standards

Step 3: Finalise your design prototype and get a live link to test it with your audience
Why do this course?
Many founders jump into designing their solution without knowing the steps needed to succeed with their design. This takes a lot of time learning from youtube tutorials and online resources, founders often find they have to go back to the beginning to build again.
This course equips you with the skills and knowledge to build something for your specific audience, using expert industry design conventions, and gets your idea live on a prototype link so you can get it in front of your audience quickly and test with them within weeks. It ensures you don’t spend time and money building the wrong thing.
You’ll leave with
A future-state map of your audience's journey - how they'll actually move through your solution, built from the real insight you gathered in the Innovation course
A working prototype of your digital solution (app or website) - shaped from professional templates and industry-standard conventions
Design tool tutorial and industry digital design methods - grounded in expert knowledge
A usability audit - using expert methods to catch what's confusing or off before your audience sees it
The confidence that what you've built reflects what your audience actually needs - grounded in the evidence and insight from Discovery
A clear next step - whether that's moving on to the Audience usability testing course, or the confidence that you now know exactly what you're building
